On June 29 2024 Council received a report from staff requesting that Council endorse the proposed modifications from the County of Simcoe to the adopted Town of Collingwood Official Plan. A tracked changes document can be found on line at the Town of Collingwood web page.

The Cutting Red Tape to Build More Homes Act, 2024 (Bill 185), received royal assent
from the Province of Ontario (the “Province”) on June 6, 2024. This legislation is the
latest Bill by the Province to accelerate the development of new housing by removing
perceived barriers.
