The Town of The Blue Mountains has a Staff Report on their Special Committee of the Whole Agenda for their upcoming meeting on Monday June 21st @ 1:00pm.
The Town has identified that they are nearing the 80% design capacity on their Thornbury Waste Water Treatment Plant and are also identifying they are starting to approach it on their Town Wide Water Treatment Plant.
It is important to note they ARE NOT proposing or contemplating an Interim Control By-law at this time. They have identified this issue and would appear to have enough time to address it before having to take the same measures as the Town of Collingwood recently elected to.
Town Staff are recommending the Town proceed with the proposed “Connection & Allocation Monitoring Action Plan” as outlined in the staff report.
